The aim of this workshop is to introduce laparoscopic urology surgeries to our participants. Animals model will be used. It will be a full day workshop with lectures and dry lab practice session in the morning and hand-on practice in the afternoon.

The topics that will be covered in the morning lecture series will includes:

  1. Introduction to Laparoscopic nephrectomy
  2. Dissecting the adrenal gland and nephrectomy
  3. Difficult nephrectomy – tips and strategies
  4. Dissecting and haemostatic devices
  5. Partial nephrectomy
  6. Pyeloplasty and ureterolithotomy

In the afternoon, participants will be given the opportunity to practise on animal models. The exercises that will be covered include

  1. Port placement
  2. Mobilisation of kidney and ureter
  3. Vascular control
  4. Specimen delivery

The total number of participants for this workshop is limited to 30 delegates.
